How to Sell Digital Products Passively

If you're in this digital marketing world. Your #1 goal is likely along the lines of making passive income online.

This won't happen instantly, but you CAN be strategic and set up your business to make sales without having to think about it.

If you’re just starting to learn more about selling digital products online check out my FREE Beginner’s Workbook to learn more about how YOU can be successful with this.

4 ways to make digital product sales in the background:

1. Amp Up Your Instagram Game: I’m talking about using your Instagram profile to its FULLEST potential; not just your bio.

Your Instagram profile is often the first impression people get of you online. It should serve them well!

  • Ensure your bio clearly communicates who you serve and what you offer.

  • Use highlights strategically to showcase your offerings and include relevant links for seamless shopping experiences, even when you're offline.

  • Pin your most valuable content to the top of your feed; not your most viral.

2. Nail Your Email Automation

Creating email flows that run without your active involvement is crucial for generating passive sales.

  • Invest time upfront to craft automated email sequences scheduled for intervals like one day, one week, or two weeks post-purchase.

  • Draft these sequences once, and they'll continue to engage customers automatically without further intervention.

3. Leverage Your Products:

Be strategic with the attention of individuals who engage with your products or downloadable resources.

Since they've shown interest in your work, cross-promote complementary or supplementary products. Include links within download pages, about sections, or thank-you pages to encourage further purchases seamlessly.

  • If someone has already taken action and purchased one of your products or downloaded one of your free resources, they were already sold on your work!

  • You have their full attention, and you can & should include links to your other products that complement or build on each other. Include them in the download page, the about you section, or a thank you page at the end.

4. Tap into Pinterest Power:

Don't underestimate Pinterest as a significant platform for expanding your content's visibility.

  • Pinterest is NOT social media

  • Pinterest functions as a visual search engine

  • Pinterest is working to connect users actively searching for the solutions YOU have to offer

Strategically leverage Pinterest to broaden your content's reach and attract potential customers actively searching for your products.

Pulling it all together.

And when they download your freebie off Pinterest…that email confirmation will give them a chance to find you over on Instagram, they’ll be exposed to the other offers you’ve added within your download yourself, AND they’ll be added to your email flow that runs without you thinking about it. See how these systems all work together?
